The extreme complexity of the UK tax system means some cases each year fall outside our normal areas of expertise. We have longstanding relationships with a number of leading UK tax consultants and investigation specialists who we can call on for expert input and guidance as and when required.
In recent times, cases have been referred to specialists relating to protracted HMRC investigations, VAT disputes and CIS penalty disputes in addition to complex Capital Gains Tax queries and specialist tax planning schemes. In all cases we remain fully involved with the client and act as an intermediary as required to facilitate the process. Fees for specialist work can be agreed in advance.
We recognise that many clients may also want financial advice and guidance on inheritance tax planning and Wills. We pass all this work on to a highly competent and trusted IFA who operates independently from us.
